The films directed by Marcy Page and Alice Eça Guimarães are part of the short film official selection of the 68th edition of Annecy International Animation Film Festival (France).
The short films “Virgin Fandango” (Marcy Page, 2026, Canada/Portugal, ANI/DOC, 11′) and “Because Today is Saturday” (Alice Eça Guimarães, 2025, Portugal/France/Spain, ANI, 12′), have been selected for the official programme of the Annecy International Animation Film Festival. Selected for the Official Short Film Competition, “Virgin Fandango” will have its world premiere in Annecy, while “Because Today is Saturday” is included in the Perspectives section, dedicated to bold and innovative works. In 2026, the festival celebrates its 68th edition, taking place from June 21st to 27th.
