The films directed by Alice Eça Guimarães and Alexandre Sousa have been selected for the official selection of the RiverRun International Film Festival (United States of America).
The short films “Because Today is Saturday” (Alice Eça Guimarães, 2025, Portugal/France/Spain, ANI, 12′) and “Amarelo Banana” (Alexandre Sousa, 2025, Portugal/Hungary, ANI, 13′) have been selected for the 28th edition of the RiverRun International Film Festival. Following their premieres at the Athena Film Festival and Telluride Film Festival, the films returned to the United States for a screening in the festival’s animated shorts programme, held in Winston-Salem and Greensboro. The 2026 edition of this festival will take place from April 17th to 25th.
