The films "Dog Alone", "Amarelo Banana", "Because Today is Saturday", "Wind's Embrace", "Augur" e "VirginFandango" are part of the official selection of the 25th MONSTRA – Lisbon Animation Festival.
The short films “Dog Alone” (Marta Reis Andrade, 2025, Portugal/France, ANI, 13′), “Amarelo Banana” (Alexandre Sousa, 2025, Portugal/Hungary, ANI, 13′), and “Because Today is Saturday” (Alice Eça Guimarães, 2025, Portugal/France/Spain, ANI, 12′), have been selected for the Short Film Competition of the 25th edition of MONSTRA – Lisbon Animation Festival. The festival will also screen “Wind’s Embrace” (José Miguel Ribeiro, 2004, Portugal, ANI, 3′), in the special programme Recycled Animation, and “Augur” (David Doutel, Vasco Sá, 2018, Portugal/France, ANI, 15′), in Moving Landscapes. The new film by Marcy Page, “Virgin Fandango”, a co-production between Ciclope Filmes (Portugal) and Blue Dada Productions (Canada), will have its first preview at the festival’s opening session. Dedicated exclusively to animation cinema, MONSTRA will take place from March 12th to 22nd, 2026, in Lisbon.
