German Premieres and Special Programmes at INTERFILM

At the 41st edition of INTERFILM – International Short Film Festival Berlin, the Portuguese Short Film Agency presents three special programs, featuring eight Portuguese films: “It Shouldn’t Rain Tomorrow” (Maria Trigo Teixeira, 2024, Portugal/Germany, ANI, 11′), “Uncle Thomas, Accounting For The Days” (Regina Pessoa, 2019, Portugal/Canada/France, ANI/DOC, 13′), “Garrano” (David DoutelVasco Sá, 2022, Portugal/Lithuania, ANI, 14′), “Ice Merchants” (João Gonzalez, 2022, Portugal/France/UK, ANI, 14′), “Almost Forgotten” (Dimitri MihajlovicMiguel Lima, 2023, Portugal, ANI, 9′), “High Cities of Bone” (João Salaviza, 2017, Portugal, DOC/FIC, 19'), “Nha Mila” (Denise Fernandes, 2020, Portugal/Switzerland, FIC, 19′), “2720” (Basil da Cunha, 2023, Portugal/Switzerland, FIC, 25′), and “Percebes” (Alexandra RamiresLaura Gonçalves, 2024, Portugal/France, ANI/DOC, 12′). In the international competition, the films “Under The Mountains’ Shadow” (Diogo Salgado, 2025, Portugal/France/Belgium, FIC, 20′), “Beli Dani” (Nevena Desivojević, 2025, Serbia/North Macedonia/Republic of Srpska/Portugal/Bosnia and Herzegovina, FIC, 14'), “Dog Alone” (Marta Reis Andrade, 2025, Portugal/France, ANI, 13′), and “Amarelo Banana” (Alexandre Sousa, 2025, Portugal/Hungary, ANI, 13′) are also competing, marking their German premieres at the festival. 


This German festival, entirely dedicated to short films, takes place from November 4 to 9 in Berlin, bringing together works from around the world and celebrating the creative diversity of the short film format.
