The 2025 edition of the Waking Life Festival will feature two film programs curated by the Agência – Portuguese Short Film Agency and Solar – Cinematic Art Gallery.
Agência – Portuguese Short Film Agency confirms the continuation of its collaboration with Waking Life, an annual music and arts festival held in Crato. This partnership, established over the years, will have a prominent place in the 2025 edition of Waking Life, scheduled for June.
In this new edition, to mark the twenty years of the continuous activity at Solar – Cinematic Art Gallery , Agência and Solar will present at Waking Life a selection of Portuguese experimental and fictional Portuguese short films, featuring works by directors such as Inês Lima, Mariana Gaivão, Sandro Aguilar, João Salaviza, Jonathan Uliel Saldanha e Jorge Quintela. These screenings, included in the festival's Moonscreen program, have provided audiences with an immersive cinematic experience that aligns with the festival's unique atmosphere.
