In its Spanish premiere, Leonor Noivo's latest film integrates the selection of the Festival Internacional de Cine de Las Palmas de Gran Canaria.
Running between April 22nd and May 1st, the Spanish festival has selected "Dawn" for the official short films competitive section. Leonor Noivo's film won the Best Film Award in the National Competition of the last Curtas Vila do Conde, and was recently part of the selection of the International Film Festival Rotterdam.
"Dawn" was produced by Terratreme Filmes and is distributed by Agência da Curta Metragem.
Besides being a director, Leonor Noivo works as script-supervisor, scriptwriter and assistant director in documentaries and fiction films and collaborated with several directors (such as João Pedro Rodrigues, João Salaviza or João Nicolau. She is co-founder of the production company Terratreme Filmes, a platform of filmmakers created in 2008, where she has developed, alongside her films, the work as a producer in coordination and monitoring of fiction and documentary projects.
