The films "Good Night Cinderella", "Bad Bunny” and "Serpentarius", by director Carlos Conceição, will be screened at the Forum des Images, that is running from February 5th to March 29th, in France.

As part of the "Lisbon" film cycle of Forum des Images, the films "Good Night Cinderella" (2014), "Bad Bunny" (2017) and "Serpentarius” (2019) by Carlos Conceição will be presented on February 22nd, during the weekend of "Portuguese Queer Cinema".

In partnership with the Cinemateca Portuguesa - Museu do Cinema, the "Lisbon" Cycle will discover the Lusitanian capital, presenting contemporary works that deal with travel, departure and exile.

"Good Night Cinderella", awarded with the "TAP" prize at Curtas Vila do Conde, follows the story of Cinderella, who escapes at midnight, leaving behind a crystal shoe. "Bad Bunny", recognized as "Best Fiction Short Film" by the Portuguese Film Academy, at the Sophia Awards, portrays the story of a shy boy who dominates his mother's lover.

"Serpentarius" is Carlos Conceição's first feature film, produced by Mirabilis, and had its world premiere in the Forum section of the Berlin Festival. It was displayed for the first time in Portugal at Curtas Vila do Conde, where Carlos Conceição was Director in Focus.

Carlos Conceição grew up between Portugal and the desert of southern Angola until he joined the Lisbon Film School in 2002. He had previously studied English Romantic Literature. His first short film, "The Flesh" (2010), was awarded New Talent at Indie Lisboa in 2010, while "Versailles" (2013) competed at the Locarno Film Festival. Both "Good Night Cinderella" (2014) and "Bad Bunny" (2017) debuted in the Critics Week of the Cannes Festival with very enthusiastic responses. The director also received full retrospective reviews of his work at the Cinémathèque Française in Paris and the Amiens Film Festival.

The Forum des Images, created in 1988, celebrates cinema in the most diverse forms, from fiction, documentary, animation, feature and short films and television series.
