Biography
Andreas Hykade was born during the summer of love in the Bavarian town of Altötting, “the Lourdes of Germany,” famous for its chapel housing a popular shrine to the Virgin Mary. He’s been directing animated films for grown-ups since he became one himself; now that he’s a dad, he creates animated films for children as well. Hykade has been the director of the Animationsinstitut at Filmakademie Baden-Württemberg and the Conference Chair of FMX since 2015.
