Marta Reis Andrade and João Gonzalez will attend the session where their short films will be screened this Saturday, in Lyon.
The 4th Illustration Festival, in Lyon, has invited Festival Curtas Vila do Conde to curate one of its carte blanche sessions, on 26 September 2026. The session brings together seven Portuguese animated shorts selected by Curtas in earlier editions.
The presentation is led by Joaquim Pedro Pinheiro, member of the Selection Committee of Curtas Vila do Conde's International Competition, and will two of the selected directors will also be present: Marta Reis Andrade ("Dog Alone", 2025) and João Gonzalez ("Nestor", 2019 and "Ice Merchants", 2022).

Illustration Festival is the international contemporary illustration festival organised by the KIBLIND association, in Lyon, with a programme that includes exhibitions, workshops, illustrated concerts and a market for illustrated objects.
Animated cinema is part of the festival through the "Courts-métrages animés" (Animated Short Films) strand, with eight sessions across the weekend, each curated by a guest festival or organisation — including Curtas Vila do Conde.
