From March 5th to 9th, Agência – Portuguese Short Film Agency will be at International Short Film Week Regensburg with 18 Portuguese films featured in the festival’s official selection.
The short films “Amarelo Banana” (Alexandre Sousa, 2025, Portugal/Hungary, ANI, 13′) and “Because Today is Saturday” (Alice Eça Guimarães, 2025, Portugal/France/Spain, ANI, 12′) are part of the International Competition at the 32nd International Short Film Week Regensburg. This annual event showcases the most relevant international short films to the German audience and will be held from March 5th to 15th, 2026.
In addition to the competing films, Agência – Portuguese Short Film Agency will present two special programs curated by filmmaker Maria Trigo Teixeira — who serves on the festival's German Competition jury — and collaborator Joaquim Pedro Pinheiro. These programs will emphasize notable works of contemporary Portuguese animation. The film “Amélia & Duarte” (Mónica Santos, Alice Eça Guimarães, 2015, Portugal/Germany, ANI, 9′) will also be screened during the opening session.
