The most recent film by Leonor Noivo is part of the competition of the International Film Festival Rotterdam. It is the international premiere of "Dawn" and the comeback of the portuguese director to the Dutch festival.
Taking place between January 26 and February 6, the International Film Festival Rotterdam has selected "Dawn", by Leonor Noivo, for the Ammodo Tiger Short Competition. The short film won the Best Film Award in the National Competition of the last Curtas Vila do Conde, and will now premiere internationally at the 51st edition of the Dutch film festival.
The selection also marks Leonor Noivo's return to the Rotterdam festival, which had already selected two works by the Portuguese filmmaker in previous editions - "September" in 2017 and "All I Imagine" in 2018.
"Dawn" was produced by Terratreme Filmes and has the distribution of the Short Film Agency.
Besides being a director, Leonor Noivo works as script-supervisor, scriptwriter and assistant director in documentaries and fiction films and collaborated with several directors (such as João Pedro Rodrigues, João Salaviza or João Nicolau. She is co-founder of the production company Terratreme Filmes, a platform of filmmakers created in 2008, where she has developed, alongside her films, the work as a producer in coordination and monitoring of fiction and documentary projects.
