Bruno Lourenço's film won the Portuguese Language Short Film Award at CineEco festival.
CineEco, which took place in Seia between October 9 and 16, awarded "Oso", a film by Bruno Lourenço, with the Portuguese Language Short Film Prize. "Oso" starts from an account of the sighting of a lone bear in a border village, which is initially received with enthusiasm by the locals and by a young nature watcher.
About the film, the director says that the "reports of sightings, especially in Montalegre, where, contrary to Montesinho, where all the evidence on the ground pointed in fact to the presence of a grizzly bear in the territory, only one witness claimed to have seen an animal that he identified as a grizzly bear, allowed me to follow this path, working on the question of identity, the idea of territory and the respective border zones".
"Oso" was produced by O Som e a Fúria and was part of the National Competition selection of the last edition of Curtas Vila do Conde.
