"Uncle Thomas, Accounting for the Days" and "Between The Shadows" will be screened at the Clermont-Ferrand International Short Film Festival.
The film "Uncle Thomas, Accounting for the Days", by Regina Pessoa was selected for the 42nd Clermont-Ferrand French competition, that will take place from January 31st to February 9th 2020, in France. "Between The Shadows" by Mónica Santos and Alice Eça Guimarães is also part of the Clermont-Ferrand's program, one of the most important short film festivals in the world.
"Uncle Thomas, Accounting for the Days"Co-produced between Portugal (Abi Feijó, Ciclope Filmes), France (Reginald de Guillebon, Les Armateurs) and Canada (Julie Roy, ONF), is a touching tribute to an everyday poet, a demonstration of Regina Pessoa's love for her eccentric uncle, a person who became an artistic inspiration and played a key role in her development as a filmmaker. The animated short film has been awarded worldwide since its premiere in June 2019, prized in Annecy (France), Animamundi, Animafix and Animage (Brazil), Imaginaria, and Riga IFF (Latvia). It is currently in the running for the Oscars of 2020, as one of the ten short animated films pre-selected for the 92nd edition of the Oscars. More information here.
"Between The Shadows", co-produced by Vivement Lundi! and produced by Animais and Um Segundo Filmes and distributed by Agencia, had its own world premiere in June of 2018 at Festival Animafest Zagreb and, in July in Portugal, at Curtas Vila do Conde, having been distinguished in both with the Prize of the Public.
