The film, which is co-produced by BAP - Animation Studios and Ikki Films, showcases an alternative view of the Algarve region, focusing on the perspectives of those who live there year-round. The directors described the film as a tribute to the locals, the sea, and its wildlife, as they face the impact of tourism.
'Percebes' will also premiere in France at the Annecy International Film Festival, taking place from June 9th to 15th.
