Sandro Aguilar's film will have its international premiere at the 18th edition of Curtocircuito - International Film Festival, in Santiago de Compostela.
"The Detection of Faint Companions", by Sandro Aguilar (O Som e a Fúria) is part of the Official Explora Competition of the 18th Short Curtocircuíto, which will take place between October 2nd and 10th in Santiago de Compostela.
Born in 1974 in Portugal, Sandro Aguilar studied film at the Escola Superior de Teatro e Cinema. In 1998 he founded the production company O Som e a Fúria. His films have won awards at festivals, such as La Biennale di Venezia, Gijón, Oberhausen and Vila do Conde, and have been shown in Torino, Belfort, Montreal, Clermont-Ferrand among others. Retrospectives of his work have been programmed at Rotterdam IFF and BAFICI.
This will be the international premiere of "The Detection of Faint Companions" at the festival that was founded in 2003 by the Santiago de Compostela City Council with the aim of fostering film creation. Eighteen editions later, Curtocircuíto is a leading festival in the international panorama.
