"Agouro" and "Entre sombras" are finalists of the second edition of the Quirino Ibero-American Animation Awards, which will be awarded in April in Spain.
After having passed a first phase of nomination, the short films are now finalists in different categories: "Agouro", by David Doutel and Vasco Sá, is nominated for the best visual development award, "Entre sombras" by Mónica Santos and Alice Guimarães, competes for better sound design and original music,
The Quirino Awards were created in 2018 to recognize the production of those who work in the animation cinema of the Ibero-American space, on both sides of the Atlantic. More than 20 countries, including Portugal, were in the creation of these awards.
The awards ceremony is scheduled for April 6 in Tenerife, Spain. The day will be an Ibero-American Forum of Coproduction and an International Congress of Ibero-American Animation, aimed at professionals of animation.
The prizes were named in honor of the Italian-Argentine director Quirino Cristiani.
