"Agouro" awarded at Anima Mundi

The last short film by David Doutel and Vasco Sá, "Agouro", was awarded at Anima Mundi.

The film "Agouro" was awarded for Best Art Direction at the Brazilian festival Anima Mundi, one of the most important in the world dedicated to animation.

Co-produced between Portugal and France, the short film was directed by David Doutel and Vasco using traditional techniques of animation and oil painting on glass. The narrative focuses on the relationship between two cousins in a rural Portugal: beliefs, disagreements, and an animal force.The duo had already directed the short "Fuligem" in 2014, and "O Sapateiro", in 2011.

This was the 26th edition of the International Animation Festival of Brazil - Anima Mundi, which is the biggest event dedicated to animation cinema in Latin America.The festival took place between July 20 and 29 in Rio de Janeiro.
